Land Rover has revealed a surprisingly comprehensive facelift for the Discovery range here at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show – and the firm has underlined the changes with some new badging for the Discovery range. Instead of having ‘LAND ROVER’ on the bonnet, the new Discovery has, well, ‘DISCOVERY’ lettering. That’s because Land Rover wants to make Discovery into its own brand, a bit like Range Rover: here at Frankfurt 2013, we’re seeing the first steps in this rebranding.

Strictly, the Alfa Romeo Giulia won’t go on sale in the UK until 2015, but given it was first slated for a 2012-dated (!) launch, we’ll allow it inclusion here. What’s the hold up? The first culprit was the all-important styling.
Last year the doors opened to DYPDC Center for Automotive Research and Studies, a new automotive design school. The institution has grown from strength to strength and has achieved considerable success in this short time. The school is located in the young and thriving cosmopolitan city of Pune, which is already an established educational center having the largest number of resident foreign students in the country.
